A falta, que faz a muitos de nós, e à sua querida ARTE
- ainda hoje se sente a sua influência no nosso panorama musical.

Uma pessoa de rara beleza, e que tivemos, eu e outros, o enorme privilégio de conhecer.


Em alturas em que tanto quanto saiba, obras dela ( assim como a de outros grandes vultos da nossa contemporâneidade) caem no esquecimento.. quiçá, possivelmente até desaparecimento "real" de espólio artistico incalculável, de instituições e/ou locais onde supostamente nunca se seria de esperar tal acontecer, vem este aniversário de um dia bem triste para a música (e não só) no nosso país. Enquanto ouço rumores (que temo serem reais) do maior desleixo para com obras dela e de outros tais como Jorge Peixinho (entre outros), obras encomendadas inclusivemente .. bom, nem quero continuar a pensar nisto. Não hoje. Vou fazer de conta que nada ouço, nada sei, nada vejo.. pois hoje é um dia para me lembrar do que ela nos deu, e mais especificamente, como ela me mudou a vida para todo o sempre.

A ti Constança, uma celebração da tua vida, obra.. e muita, mas muita saudade (minha, e certamente de muitos outros)

Constança Capdeville was and is much more than a bright, shining name in a long line of great musical composers, she still to this day wields her graceful yet powerful influence on the lives of many of her country's contemporary musical  giants. Having left us much too early, she is dearly missed by many.

I leave a small sample of some of her cherished work. It seems unbelievable to say this but I must:
'Institutions' may forget; they may even become ungrateful towards those they honoured in the past.. but we (are.. and) do not. Never shall such a thing come to pass.
